Water Service Update

Willow Point Municipal Utility District residents are not subject to the boil water notices issued for the city of Katy. At this time, Willow Point MUD’s water distribution system is functionally normally and there have been no water outages. The District’s operator, Si Environmental, has activated the District’s Emergency Response Plan and is checking the facilities to confirm and supplement winterization efforts (heater operation, additional insulation, etc.) Si Environmental is also opening valves to allow some water to leak as needed to help prevent them from freezing. If ice accumulates on overhead power lines, there could be power loss, so the operator is checking the operation of auxiliary power units.
