Today, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Fort Bend County MUD 151 issued a boil water notification (the “Boil Water Notice”) for it’s District after water pressure dropped below the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s required minimum 20 PSI.

June 23, 2023 - The third named hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season has formed in the South Atlantic, and while there have not been any threats to Texas yet residents of the Gulf Coast should stay prepared for an active hurricane season.

Burn Ban in Effect in Fort Bend County
On Tuesday, June 21, Fort Bend County Commissioners Court called a special meeting to address the ongoing drought issue in our region. This special meeting addressed the widespread drought conditions in the county and immediately put into effect a burn ban.

Willow Point MUD – Post-Storm Recap
In the latter half of February, winter storm Uri wreaked havoc on many homes and businesses throughout the Greater Houston Area. Several systems that supply water in and around the area were impacted by sustained sub-freezing temperatures, resulting in loss of water pressure for thousands of local residents. In light of the anticipated historic storm, and for the benefit of District residents, maintaining a continuous water supply to Willow Point MUD was a priority.

Water Service Update
Willow Point Municipal Utility District residents are not subject to the boil water notices issued for the city of Katy. At this time, Willow Point MUD’s water distribution system is functionally normally and there have been no water outages.

Willow Point MUD Residents: Due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions, Texas Pride Disposal will not be operating on Monday.
Arctic Cold Front: Safety Tips
An arctic cold front is blowing through Texas, advancing toward the Houston area. Temperatures are expected to drop to the 20’s and 30’s beginning Saturday, February 13th, 2021.
NFBWA 2021 Rate Change
Effective January 1, 2021, the North Fort Bend Water Authority (NFBWA) is increasing its groundwater pumpage fee to $4.25 per 1,000 gallons. This Subsidence District mandated fee, reflected as a separate line item on your water bill, is paid directly to the NFBWA and is used to design, build and operate existing and new infrastructure in an attempt to reduce the area dependency on groundwater and convert to a percentage of surface water use by 2035.

The North Fort Bend Water Authority (“NFBWA”) is a governmental entity created by the Texas Legislature that assists in converting the region within its boundaries from using groundwater to predominantly surface water in order to combat subsidence.
